My First Product
In the footsteps of MetroDad, I am proud to say I have received my first product. 
Last week, I was contacted by a publicist for Sourcebooks Inc. to review a new book on Little League and how it's becoming a professionalized industry.
The publicist indicated that he thought it was would be nice to have the dads of sons review it. Aw shucks--hard to believe that age is just around the corner for us; Saturday mornings devoted to finding where the closest coffeehouses are to each of the practice fields.
The book arrived today and it's next on my list to read and review. Who says (Little League, Big) Dreams don't come true. All that advertising finally paid off!

Yeah! Your first bit of swag . . . don't forget to claim it on your taxes. I would hate for your to fall victim to the IRS the way that Hollywood has recently.

Hey, I got that book, too, but as everyone knows I'm sort of in the middle of a REALLY BIG BOOK and may not get to it until 2010. Any chance I can copy your notes?

My copy is on its way - it's like we have our own little blogging book club for crissakes.
Man, all the Dads get free stuff! I'm so jealous. Not that I want that particular book but it's the principal of free swag!
