Corey: "How did Michael Jackson die?"
Me: "He died in his sleep."
Corey: "Was he sick?"
Me: "He was taking some medications so he may not have been feeling well."
(Pause)
Corey: "But he died in his sleep?"
Me: "Yep."
Corey: "Cool. That's just like Yoda."
Corey: "How did Michael Jackson die?"
Me: "He died in his sleep."
Corey: "Was he sick?"
Me: "He was taking some medications so he may not have been feeling well."
(Pause)

Me: "Yep."

Yoda died in his sleep? This is weird because just yesterday, my son got to the point in Lego Star Wars where he can buy the ghost of Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda. Which I thought was weird, since I don't remember Yoda dying.
The literature teacher in me applauds. We use stories to help frame our understanding of the world; this was a PERFECT response.
