Breakfast of Champions
But I am the guy who ate Chips Ahoy for two years every morning for breakfast. (Seriously, did you think I got this incredibly ripped physique from eating broccoli and carrots?) Every time we are in the supermarket, Larry buys these healthy granola-laden cereals and I still head for the Eggo section.
I'm 40 years old now. I have to at least look like I'm eating healthy.
Luckily, I was asked to review a product that could not have arrived at my door any sooner. It takes no effort to make, it's healthy and it's actually good.
Fiber One Oats & Chocolate chewy bars finally make me feel like I'm eating an adult breakfast. The bar contains 35% of the daily recommended fiber, so while I may not be eating solid granola, I'm becoming quite regular.
The bars are pretty healthy with everything they offer. There's no trans fat, they are low in calories and they are a good source of calcium & whole grain (both are things I don't eat enough of). I also love how quick and easy they are to eat given that the entire bar is 1.4 oz.
The “Oats & Chocolate” flavor is actually good. Since I have an allergy to nuts, I am lenient about about most breakfast bars. This one contains no nuts and actually reminds me of my Chips Ahoy days.
Whatever.
If you're looking to change your morning routine (including some highly related bathroom visits), then this is great start. It's healthy, it's good and it's quick.
Remember, 40 isn't that far for most of you. I can hardly wait until you join the club.

It's amazing how you're able to subtly introduce the product placement into your blog.
I turn 37 on 3/6 so I have a few years before the big 4 0.
I hardly ever eat breakfast, when I do it is a Harvest Bar. Heidi buys them by the case and feeds them to the kids when she is running late(always).
I turned 40 on Monday. I have been buying this product VOLUNTARILY for a week now so I'll continue to look 39 as long as possible.
God, I'm turning into my mom with all the fiber.
I had chocolate covered rice krispie treats for breakfast. Isn't that the same thing?
Considering that my doctor told me that I have arthritis (gymnastics as child/tween/teen) and the beginning of osteoperosis (thanks, genetics), the calcium content is appealing. Then again, the fiber would be nice too...I'm jealous that I don't get to see Mr. Potty as much as my partner does.
I just tried these, too, and I really like them. As far as the "unhealthy ingredient" of HFCS, the stuff really just gets a bad rap - there's no study that proves there's any nutritional difference between HFCS and normal sugar intake, so I say go wild.
Oh, I'm 39 and on the Fiber Bandwagon. Gracias for the commercial. Every little bit helps. My breakfast cereals used to have toys inside - now they come with rolls of toilet paper...
I hate breakfast. I usually just skip it because I'm in no mood to chew, swallow, and digest. If I eat anything, it will be a small bowl of something fibrous.
Lunch is my favorite meal. I tend to make the big one. Dinner, something light.
I'll have to give these things a try. Definitely have to get on that fiber bandwagon.
