Dear Mr. Obama
Hey, can I call you Barack? I figure since we're going be neighbors in a few months, we should be on a first name basis.
Congratulations. Not only did you make history, but you seemed to invigorate so many people on so many levels. While I've enjoyed seeing everyone get worked up over politics for the first time, you've made my Google reader go freaking crazy this month. I'm kind of glad that will slow down a bit.
Larry and I were lucky enough to only spend 3-4 minutes voting you in yesterday. In a way, it seems ridiculous to think about waiting for hours in astate taxable entity without any congressional representation that votes 95% Democratic, but I couldn't ever look back and realize I didn't help change history.
Thank you for giving my son someone to actually look up to in politics. "I want Orack Boama to win," was his favorite statement this week. Nice to hear those words given the last time he spoke about politics was this:

So again, my best on last night. Looking forward to meeting you and Mrs. in January. Swing on by; I make a mean meatloaf.
My best,
Steve

Steve, I made Amtrak reservations this morning; we're taking the girls to the inauguration!
One of my dearest regrets (if you could call it that) is that I wasn't born in time to march with Dr. King. I'll be damned if I'm going to miss this.
Got any suggestions for a decent (and not-too-expensive) place to stay on a Metro line? We'll come in on the train on Saturday and depart again on Wednesday morning.
Got that weekend free? I would LOVE to get our families together.
Get that kid a job on CNN! His political commentary is genius. :)
Maybe he'll invite you over for some Guitar Hero.
That's an adorable video. If you have the folks for dinner, I think 3B would like to play with the girls and Barky can't wait to meet the first dog, although he'll probably just barf when he does.
